Should You Be Sleeping WITHOUT YOUR UNDERWEAR? Absolutely.
Believe it or not, your vagina needs to breathe. While the rest of our bodies find ample time being freed from the constraints of our clothes, our lady parts almost never do. This is absurd, if you think about it, considering it’s one of three exits that connect our interiors to the exterior. Digging through the internet, I found out that sleeping without your underwear comes with a few health benefits, which include:
Better natural temperature and moisture regulation
Less dampness that could lead to discomfort
Prevents yeast infections and irritations
I didn’t have much of a problem to begin with, but I spent the last few weeks ditching the panty and sleeping commando to see if I would feel any different. The results, I found, were less physical but more emotional. Something about the airflow down there felt foreign, and as a result, thrilling. That feeling didn’t go away even after two weeks. I shower in the evenings, so it has been easy to just skip the underwear, give my body eight hours to reset fully, and starting the next day completely fresh. The moment where you get to commence in the morning from complete zero, bare skin and all, does something to your brain that signals and wonderful fresh start.
No underwear = no constraints anywhere. How come we pick the most comfortable and loose fitting pajamas to sleep in, but then wear restrictive fabrics to the areas that need the most breathing room? Make it make sense. So, I invite you to remove the panty and go commando every night. Both physically and emotionally, it’s a wonderful experience.
