Here’s How To Style RED TIGHTS

There was one color this year that really dominated the fashion scene, and that was red (or burgundy). It was basically all there was to find on the Hermès runway show, and sprinkled all over Gucci, Miu Miu, Tibi, and pretty much every notable designer during the last two fashion weeks. And of course, the Instagram girlies were quick to follow with their own take on the splashy color, dressing it up and down how they pleased. I have to say, I’m quite fond of the trend. As someone who typically sticks to her neutral colors, I was surprised to find myself accepting this poppy hue into her wardrobe. I got my very own red tights sitting in my dresser right now, and as I was wondering how exactly I am to style this piece, I decided to do a little research. And who would I be if I didn’t share said research with you. In case you too were wondering what the best way to style red tights is, I gathered some intel below.

Keep It Two-Toned

In the case of red tights, you want the tights to be the moment. Keep its supporting counterparts simple so the color can stand out. If you leave things two-toned, like pairing with just black or just beige, the tights will have a chance to shine like they should.

Keep It All Red

You can also fully commit to the color with a matching ensemble. Opt for a red skirt and cardigan combo, and then finish it off with burgundy heels. If you want, you can have one item stand out, like a white bag. If bright red seems a little too loud for you, going for a head to toe burgundy look may feel less daunting.

Stick To A Black And Beige Look

You can also keep it three-toned, in which case black and beige are the colors to opt for. The entire look remains cohesive and doesn’t clash. It’s up to you which item you want to have as beige or black, but the above three pictures are a great way to start.
