Everything I’m Packing For My Paris Trip
PC: Pinterest
It’s been three years since I last visited Paris. For me, Paris is the city to visit when I’ve got plenty of time on my hands. The last two trips I took there, I stayed for two months and one month respectively. I don’t want to just zoom through the city, I want to stroll through the cobblestone streets with no haste in my feet, no hurry in my mind. Since I’ve been laid off, I debated going back for yet another month. Ultimately, I landed on a two week trip instead — and I’m taking my dog with me.
You can’t imagine my excitement. Plenty of cafés have opened up since my last visit, and they are all bookmarked on my google maps. I finally have the time to make an extensive itinerary, and it’s made the pre-trip thrill a real hoot. A visit to the various showrooms (it is Paris Fashion Week after all), the infamous vintage stores, dinner at Carbonis, and even a few highly-rated ramen stores call for my attention. For months leading up to my layoff, my drive, creativity, and fashion sense were nose-diving to the underground. This trip is like a triple shot espresso, pumping life back into my dull heart.
And as part of said “pre-trip thrill”, for the first time in what feels like a loooong time, I’ve actually made the effort to plan out my outfits, skincare, and even content ahead of time. And since my packing content does pretty well here, I figured I’ll share said packing list with you. I fly out tomorrow, and this will help me make sure I leave nothing behind, too. So without further ado, here’s everything I’m packing on my trip to Paris.
Beauty
Outfits
Considering the amount of clothes I’m bringing on this trip, I’m going to spare you the three page long list and just get down to the essentials. I’m bringing two blazers and one coat for outerwear. Then I’m bringing four skirts, a pair of baggy jeans, and leather pants for bottoms, and a plethora of cute tops that vary in warmth and style. Since it’s still chilly out, I’ve set aside three sweaters that can be styled in various ways, too. My two favorite button downs are coming along too. Check out a few items, below.
Accessories & Shoes
I think accessories can make or break an outfit. Not to mention, adding a simple scarf or changing up a statement earring can create two outfits out of one — a vital travel hack. Since they take up far less space than, say, a coat, it makes sense to stock up on various accessories for your trip. As for shoes, you’'ll obviously want some comfortable sneakers, but I’m going to focus on boots, loafers, and heels for now. Below are a few of my own that I’m bringing along.
Don’t forget to read everything I’m bringing on my carry-on as well, where I cover miscellaneous items like notebooks, books, pens, etc. I left a number of beauty items out, like makeup, or essentials like undergarments, but make sure you don’t forget to pack those as well!
Bon Voyage!
